Most of the commercially available blood glucose test strips use screen-printed silver/carbon
electrodes as signal transmission elements. As screen printing process parameters are not easy to
control (including: blade, screen, silver/carbon ink and screen printer, etc.), the screen printing
preparation of silver/carbon electrode requires strict control of process variables, resulting in poor
performances of reproducibility, batch, storage time, linearity of blood glucose concentration and
current signal of blood glucose monitoring test piece.
As a result, mass production under the condition of a single test code (One-Code) during testing failed
to pass ISO15197:2013 regulations.
Ace Medical Technology Co., Ltd. uses environmentally-friendly dry vacuum sputtering technology to
develop a roll-to-roll method that continuously sputters metal materials on PET film at low
temperature, and then uses a laser engraving machine to etch high-precision gold electrodes with the
required patterns. The process technology spans integrated process technologies such as vacuum
sputtering, laser engraving, electrochemistry, and biosensors, which can ensure high-tech barriers
that competitors cannot enter in a short time.
In addition, the technical process is environmentally
friendly, low material costs, high reliability, diversity (laser etching) and all dry chemical-free solvent
processing. It conforms to the ”dry-type, environmentally friendly and clean” manufacturing process
that is environmentally friendly and also ensures the uniqueness of technology. It will be the best
product to replace the current industry's screen-printed silver/carbon electrode die.
